For sale in our Dallas showroom is the custom of all customs. This 1935 Ford Roadster started out as a Bones Concept Design (Cool) 1935 Roadster Cabriolet, one of only four produced. The body was then widened four inches, channeled down over the Total Cost Involved semi pro street chassis. They then moved the cowl panel 12 inches. The doors were lengthened and hidden suicide hinges were installed. The windshield and the Carson removable top has been chopped by two inches to give that aggressive low profile look. The side windows are drop in and removable pieces. The hood and side panels were lengthened to match the body contour. The hood was hinged on the passenger side. The grill was laid back two inches and a custom billet grill was installed. 1939 Lincoln Zephyr rear fenders were molded into the body as well as 1937 Ford front fenders and running boards. The headlights were frenched and the tail lights were custom made. Finally several coats of PPG Concept single stage Red paint were applied and polished to a glass like finish.
The interior is just as custom as the exterior. Seats consist of Glide Engineering buckets with seat belts. Classic Instruments combination gauges help monitor the engine vitals. A custom leather wrapped steering wheel was made to match the wheels and is connected to the steering via a chrome tilt steering column. The leather in the interior was done with seven hides from Europe covering the front and rear seats, door panels, steering wheel, center console, and headliner. The Carson top was covered in Hartz cloth to compliment the interior color. Heat and Air Conditioning is handled by a Hot Rod Air system and music by a Secret Audio four speaker system.
The car is suspended by a Total Cost Involved semi pro chassis powder coated to match the exterior paint. Air Ride Technologies takes care of the ride height and dampening through polished stainless steel control arms. Braking is done via four wheel disc brakes by Wilwood. The power is put to the rear wheels via a narrowed 9 rear end with 3.70 ratio gears. The wheels are a custom made set by Colorado Custom with 17 front and 20 rear sizing.
And finally the engine and transmission. Power is created in the New GM crate 350 CID LS1 V8 with a chrome plated intake manifold. The pulley system was set up by Street Performance. The transmission is a 4L65E is new from GM as well.
As you can see there has been a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and money have been put into this beauty. It is a multi award winner, and has been featured in magazines and calendars. It has been sponsored by Meguiars, Ridetech, and American National Insurance Company. It truly does not get much cleaner than this gorgeous ride.
